TED HARTLEY (President)Ted Hartley was educated at Annapolis, Georgetown University and Harvard Business School. He became the President of Southwestern Development Corporation, but left to pursue his love of film, first acting in various co-star roles with Clint Eastwood, Cary Grant and Robert Redford before starring in two TV series. He then moved on to directing and producing, becoming Chairman of RKO Pictures Corporation.
Over the last 15 years, Hartley has produced over a dozen films for RKO Pictures and has expanded to producing shows on Broadway. Past productions include GYPSY (2008), 13 (2008), BIG FISH (2013), CURTAINS (2007), and NEVER GONNA DANCE (2003). His most recent stage production, TOP HAT, opened on London’s West End in the spring of 2012 and won the Olivier Award for the Best New Musical of 2013. He is currently developing the production for Broadway with RKO Stage. He is a published writer of articles and poetry and is a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as well as the Tony Awards. Hartley is the Chairman of ORBIS International, a health NGO that prevents blindness worldwide through its flying eye hospital programs. MARY BETH O'CONNOR (Vice Chairman/Producer)Mary Beth O’Connor is founder of Lucky VIII, an independent film, television, and theatre production company. O’Connor was appointed Vice Chair of RKO Pictures, under its chairman, Ted Hartley.
In 2015, O’Connor, along with partner Robert Cole, launched LUCKYGODOT to develop a slate of projects for Broadway. Her previous credits include: That Championship Season (2011), Orphans (2013 - two Tony nominations), Big Fish (2013), and The Glass Menagerie (2013/2014 - receiving Drama Desk and Outer Critics Awards as well as a Tony nomination).
Among her feature film credits is The Other Man. She is currently developing Frozen Flashback with Adam Blum as co-producer.
She was a member of the NY/NJ 2014 Super Bowl Host Committee and serves as a trustee for The Boys & Girls Club of Newark, as well as a trustee for New Jersey Performing Art Center (NJPAC), and is a member of the Broadway League, the Fred Astaire Awards and the Performing Arts Council for the University of Notre Dame.
